ABA Therapy:

During the school day, the students at PLA work closely with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA's) as well as Registered Behavior Technician's (RBT's).  ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy is built into the natural environment of the school day for students needing such services.  Based on entrance assessments, staff will write an ISP that includes the amount of 1:1 therapy services the student will need to make the most gains through the school year.  This can eliminate the need for additional therapy hours after school.  This service is not covered under the typical academic tuition as it is offered by PLA's contracted Medical Clinic. However, this portion of the day may be paid for by your insurance company, if you have coverage for ABA therapy.

 

Basic Behavior Modification:

Our behavior analysts work diligently through the year to create reinforcement programs that are tailored to each student's need.  The fact is, all behaviors have consequences.  At PLA , we offer unique ways to reinforce behaviors that are beneficial to the students and reduce the need for behaviors that could hinder their learning.

 

Future Services:

As PLA grows, we look to employ Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Physical Therapists who share our vision of high standards of learning and rapid growth for all students.
